Weapons That Form

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,’ says the Lord.”
Sometimes living a purpose filled life can present challenges that will leave you feeling dejected/alone and wondering “what in the world was I thinking”. When your love for God pushes you from your comfort zone, along the way the shocking truth becomes evident...the travel plan along your purpose path does not come with a weather forecast, GPS, or a travel companion. This truth can cause an uncomfortable level of stress to surface and flat out take its toll, trust me not only have I been there, I am there right now. But lately I have been reciting the first line of our focus verse over and over and over again. Washing my mind with His promise, this one in particular, is keeping me from thinking myself into a pit that will deem me distracted and unavailable for what God would have me do or what He would have me notice along this journey. What is true for me and true for you is the enemy doesn’t want us to get to our destiny and he will present whatever will discourage us from continuing on: doubt that we heard God correctly or at all, fear of failure, and a longing for what’s easy and familiar. God helped me to see this week that these things are weapons that are formed to stop me in my tracks and keep me from doing what will glorify Him. However, if I keep allowing Him to take me deeper than I would ever seek to go on my own and rely on His strength and His guidance as I go, not only will He be glorified but I will learn more about Him and myself. I’ll go from one level of faith to another level of faith!! The rest of the verse makes keeping our eyes on the prize even more glorious when He promises that “peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is our inheritance”. What a sweet relief!! So, my brothers and my sisters, as we reach for His hand along our individual journeys, we can rest assured that no weapon formed to discourage us will succeed, no weapon formed to make us doubt our ability to finish will prosper. Let’s make a vow to keep going in confidence since we know He didn’t bring us this far to leave us! He has made us a promise that we will triumph despite difficulty. Yes, weapons will form, but hallelujah, they won’t ever prosper.
Let’s Pray
Father, when I seek you for guidance and I move based on the direction I believe I’m receiving from you, I take refuge in your word that says all weapons that are formed to try to stop me will not be successful. Thank you for always giving me a firm place to stand and that is on your Word. Amen
