Faith Killers

While he was still talking, some people came from the leader's house and told him, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?" Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, "Don't listen to them; just trust me." He permitted no one to go in with him except Peter, James, and John. They entered the leader's house and pushed their way through the gossips looking for a story and neighbors bringing in casseroles. Jesus was abrupt: "Why all this busybody grief and gossip? This child isn't dead; she's sleeping." Provoked to sarcasm, they told him he didn't know what he was talking about. But when he had sent them all out, he took the child's father and mother, along with his companions, and entered the child's room. He clasped the girl's hand and said, "Talitha koum," which means, "Little girl, get up." At that, she was up and walking around! This girl was twelve years of age. They, of course, were all beside themselves with joy.

Thought For Today:
Is the atmosphere of your life, conducive for releasing faith?
Even though you may not be able to see it now... this is a great season in your life. Here-in this very moment, God is ready to reveal himself to you like never before! But in order to experience all that God has for you, you must be willing to disassociate yourself, cut-off, and be isolated from anything or anyone who may be a hindrance to faith.
Life Application
Priority ONE... protect the spiritual atmosphere of your life.
Notice, before this little girl's miracle, healing, breakthrough could take place, Jesus cleared the house of every unbeliever. Jesus understands that when the time comes to release faith...unbelief, doubt, and negativity has to go!
Today I encourage you to begin identifying the “Faith Killers” present in your life. It's time to say goodbye to the Negative Nancy's, to Bad Day Bob, and the Human Dump Trucks of your world. Ask God, through prayer, to prepare you for their departure (prayer is essential; the Faith Killers assigned to you will not want to exit without creating destiny-distractions).
Finally, like Jesus did at Jairus' place... clean HOUSE! For you and I, this calls for making a distinct, intentional separation between you and all that is not of faith. Only those who "believe" [in what God has placed within you] can take this journey. Why? Because faith and unbelief are like oil and water... they don't mix. The atmosphere of faith is a prerequisite to manifested faith.
Pray with me
Father, what and who is working against the destiny of my life? Reveal to me all Faith Killers assigned to my destiny. Strengthen me so that I may have the courage to separate myself from all things that are hindering my walk with you. Help me Father to create an atmosphere conducive for faith. AMEN.
