I Knew You

Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:4-5 KJV)
There is a sense among people that we should live to achieve "our" dreams. If we are honest... we raise our children admonishing them to DREAM BIG. I believe the idea is good in theory, but the origin of what we dream makes all the difference!

The Lord told Jeremiah, "I knew you" even before I was formed you. Another way to put it, He perceived or even better... He ENVISIONED Jeremiah. To envision a thing is to picture mentally, especially for a future event.
How about that... God has already pictured what our lives should look like. Our job is not to conjure up dreams for ourselves, instead seek God for insight into what He saw when He first envisioned our lives!
Question for the day: Does your life look anything like what God envisioned?
