"The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness." (Philippians 3:7-9 MSG)

Paul says everything... everything that I once knew, I now count as "DOG DUNG".... insignificant for the sake of "KNOWING" God!
A giant step in the right direction for us as Christians is to understand what we think we know, is nothing compared to what God wants to share with us. Many have missed valuable opportunities of spiritual growth because of their own intellect. Our new-life is just that... NEW! We should look to God for a make-over in all aspects of our lives. Looking to Him as a new-born baby looks to its mother.
Today, I want to encourage you to notice the instructions of God in every area of your life. Be careful not to try and live your NEW, now-life, with an OLD-YOU mentality. Remember, you have been Born-Again... Babies don't skip or jump straight to adulthood. Embrace the growing up process of the Holy Spirit. He desires to teach us daily.
