SEE No EVIL...

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16 NIV)

On Tuesday we took a look at one action that EVIL should prompt within us... The sounding of our internal WARNING ALARM. Today I'd like to share a second responsive action towards EVIL.... PRAYER.

It really aggravates me to share a very personal or sensitive need with someone whom I thought could help, but later discover they couldn't. Had I known their inability to assist, I certainly would not willingly have shared private, and sensitive conditions!

Life Application:

Here's a scary TRUTH; Not all people discern EVIL. Some people are so distracted and weighted down in life, they are not even able to see with spiritual clarity. Never take for granted your ability to "SEE THE WORLD"!

When a person becomes apart of the world, they lose their ability to 'see the world'. What should have registered in their spirit-man as DANGER, as a citizen of the WORLD, seems very natural and normal. Let's exam this statement....

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you (John 15:19)

But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20 AMP Bible)

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth (John 17:14-19).

Because of citizenship, the "EYE SIGHT" of a Christian should be different than that of non-Christians. But why? Why would God empower you to see in a different way? Discernment (Spiritual insight) is God's way of sharing what is personal, and very sensitive to Him.

Yes there are times when EVIL should serve as WARING for us, but there are other times God allows us to see it, because He wants us PRAY. Our text, in the book of James says, if you are in a right standing with God, your PRAYERS have the ability to change things. God is sharing His most intimate and sensitive concerns with you, because you have the ability to do something about it.

EVIL has been and will be present for a long time, but God allows you to "SEE IT" for a reason. You should not talk about it... for gossip is not of God. You should not be afraid of it... for God has not given us the spirit of fear. When you 'SEE IT' you should call it into PRAYER.... because your PRAYERS, are effective and powerful!
